I always thought it was something the way they had the slide shows of Uncle Loyal's trips to Israel. I can remember always getting the candy orange slices when I would visit. My later memories was seeing her out in Hector looking like she had a running start and was going sideways. You'd think she was going to fall, but she just kept on going. I wonder how old she was before she stopped driving herself to the post office and store. It was something how her car all of a sudden wouldn't start??? When I would go up and visit, usually when we had been at a funeral together, she would tell stories about her trips to California. She would tell how Uncle Loyal would get in the back seat and sleep while she would do the driving. She said he could always sleep anywhere. If you think about it that was amazing someone of her time driving everywhere. Didn't seem like it bothered her to drive in California or Little Rock. Just gassed it and went. She had very fond memories of her mama and daddy. I loved hearing the stories of Grandma and Grandpa Rudder through her eyes. It made me realize what a treasure Grandma Rudder was and how caring she was to others. She loved her family and her church family. She had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and her Sunday School Class. She will be greatly missed by many people. The house at the junction will never be the same. She made it a home with all the pictures of her family.
